The Invictus Games

As part of our understanding of the importance of accepting people from all over the world with all kinds of differences, today we watched footage of Day One of the Invictus Games. It was incredible! We couldn’t believe how brave the athletes involved are, and how they have been through so much but are still so strong and determined. We also spoke about the difference between physical and mental health.
We also enjoyed joining in (from our classroom!) with Laura Wright singing ‘Invincible’ in the Opening Ceremony, which we sang with her at Young Voices earlier this year.
We then spent our afternoon creating posters to emphasise the importance of the Invictus Games… photos to follow!
